Before you close your GateHub account, there are a few important things you need to know and do to make sure everything goes smoothly and to avoid any potential complications:
- Withdraw all available funds from both hosted and XRPL wallets

- Please note that if you close your GateHub account, the reserved balance in your XRP Ledger wallet will not be released. For more details, please read the article: XRP reserve.
- If you plan to use your XRP Ledger wallet with another service/exchange in the future, do not forget to save your secret key as you will need it later. (You cannot access the wallet's secret key from the mobile app. You will need to log into your account on the GateHub website and find it under "WALLET" > "Advanced" settings.)
- If you have made any recent bank withdrawals, please make sure that they have been completed and that you have received the funds before closing your account. If you are unsure about the status of your bank withdrawal, reach out to our support team—closing your account prematurely may result in additional fees.
- Once your account is closed, you will be automatically unsubscribed from all our system and marketing emails.
- GateHub will not recover closed accounts. You can read more about account termination in our Terms of Use.
To close your account:
- Tap on the profile icon in the lower-right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom, find the "More" section, and click on "Close account".
- Tick the boxes if you agree with the Disclaimer statements and tap "Delete account".

In accordance with relevant AML/CTF legislation, GateHub is obligated to store customers' KYC information for a period of at least 5 years after the account closure. Upon closure, all account data and contained personal information is encrypted and securely stored in accordance with industry standards for the aforementioned retention period.
