Before closing your GateHub account, please be aware of several essential steps to ensure a smooth process and prevent any potential complications.
Please read the instructions below to ensure no funds are lost in the closing process:
- Withdraw all available funds from both hosted and XRPL wallets

- Please note that if you close your GateHub account, the reserved balance in your XRP Ledger wallet will not be released. For more details, please read the article: XRP reserve.
- If you plan to use your XRP Ledger wallet with another service/exchange in the future, do not forget to save your secret key as you will need it later. (You can find it under "WALLET" > "Advanced" settings.)
- If you have made any recent bank withdrawals, please make sure that they have been completed and that you have received the funds before closing your account. If you are unsure about the status of your bank withdrawal, reach out to our support team—closing your account prematurely may result in additional fees.
- Once your account is closed, you will be automatically unsubscribed from all our system and marketing emails.
- GateHub will not recover closed accounts. You can read more about account termination in our Terms of Use.
To close your account:
- Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open a drop-down menu and select "Personal details".
- Under the “Close account” segment at the bottom of the screen click “Close”.
- A warning window will open and you will be prompted to check the boxes indicating that you agree to the disclaimer statements. You will be given the option to close your account or cancel this action.

In accordance with relevant AML/CTF legislation, GateHub is obligated to store customer's KYC information for a period of at least 5 years after the account closure. Upon closure, all account data and contained personal information is encrypted and securely stored in accordance with industry standards for the aforementioned retention period. Related customer support correspondence is archived.
