Account verification is mandatory for all GateHub users. This process involves verifying the user's identity through the KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure, which requires providing personal information and an identification document.
Once your account verification is successfully completed, you will gain access to various features such as holding cryptocurrencies, setting trust lines, conducting crypto transactions, as well as initiating deposits and withdrawals in EUR, GBP, or USD.
Please bear in mind that a valid international passport is required in case of a bank transaction for users outside the EU.
How to verify your GateHub account:
- After logging in with your valid credentials, choose the "Individual" account type.
- Once you select "Individual," you'll see the "Verification for GateHub" screen. This screen warns you about submitting sensitive data and advises you to contact us if you received the link from an unknown or suspicious source. Click "Continue" to proceed.
- The 'Let's Get You Verified' screen will appear, detailing the steps of our KYC process. Here, you can choose to continue the process either on this device or on your phone.
- Next, you will be asked to specify whether you are a US or non-US resident. This information is crucial as we strictly adhere to the highest standards of data protection, including compliance with US privacy laws governing the processing of biometric data. Once you've selected the relevant option, please click 'Continue'.
- The page for inputting your profile information will automatically appear. Please fill in the following required details:
- Full first and last name, including middle name if applicable.
- Select your gender from a drop-down menu.
- Enter your date of birth.
- Enter your place of birth.
- Select your country of birth from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your current residential address, including postal code and city. For the United States, the state is mandatory.
- Select the country you currently reside in from a drop-down menu.
- After continuing, you will be directed to the profile information page where you need to provide the following details:
- Specify if you have a temporary address.
- Select your current employment status from the options provided.
- Select your citizenship from the drop-down menu.
- Select your tax residence from the drop-down menu.
- Specify if you have a Tax ID Number; if not, provide a reason why the Tax ID Number is not available.
- Select the source(s) of your funds from the options provided (you may select more than one).
- Select the purpose(s) of opening your account (you may select more than one).
- Select the estimated volume of transactions.
- Indicate whether you are a US citizen and/or resident.
- Answer whether you are considered a politically exposed person.
- Next, you will need to agree to the General Terms and provide consent for the processing of your personal data. This includes agreeing to the complete electronic identification procedure and consenting to the collection and processing of personal data for electronic identification, as well as for the purposes of preventing money laundering and terrorist financing.
- Choose your identity document type and issuing country.
- Follow instructions for uploading your identity document. If you are using a web browser, you will be prompted to allow camera access.
- The next step is to pass a liveness check, which typically takes an average of 4.5 seconds. The process is completed by positioning one’s head in the frame and slightly rotating it
- Lastly, enter your phone number to receive a verification code. Once you've entered the code, you're all set!
