Ripple wallets must be activated with 20 XRP to become operational.
This process is also know as ripple wallet activation. Unactivated wallet displays a DISABLED WALLET status.
Disabled wallet example.
How to proceed?
1. Make a deposit using the Deposit / receive feature (how to?).
Note that crypto deposits don't require a verified account, but bank deposits do.
Once your deposit arrives, we will fund your wallet with 20 XRP and send you an email with instructions to enable deposited currency in your wallet (also know as setting a trustline).
Email subject is missing deposit currency trustline.
BTC deposit email example.
2. Enable deposited currency in your wallet
You can enable it as soon as your wallet is funded.
Trustline can not be set with disabled wallet. If your wallet has not been funded yet, you will receive the Set Trust error (as seen below). Please wait until your wallet is activated.
See here for alternative ripple wallet activation method.
3. Wait for your deposit to be processed and wallet credited.
We will credit your wallet within a 24 hour window, once steps 1 and 2 are successfully completed.
Please keep in mind that ripple, bitcoin and ethereum networks get congested in times of high traffic - transaction processing time does prolong and delays are to be expected.
